STORY OF POPPY'S ADVENTURES

Tricia Stone-Shumaker

Writing a children's book has been on Tricia's buck list for the last two decades. She was just waiting for the right inspiration. in 2020, Poppy came along and gave her that inspiration to write her first children's book.

Tricia is a speech language pathologist and owns a speech therapy private practice in California's Central Valley. She is no stranger to working with special needs. In her professional life, Tricia focuses on working with children with autism, early intervention population and helping coach parents on strategies to help increase functional communication for their young children.

In Tricia's personal time, she loves to travel, explore roadside attractions, kayak and paddle board. When she is at home she loves to spend time caring for the animals on her hobby farm which include chickens, ducks, goats and fish. Most of her time is spent caring for Poppy, of course.
